wie streeft er nog naar Heelheid?

True Christianity is first and foremost the work of the spirit: prayer, meditation, contemplation. Unfortunately, Christians no longer espouse Jesus’ ideal, having long since adopted that of the Church. They have neglected the great truths and most important dictates and now, when someone wants to abide by the words of Jesus who said, ‘Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect’, the Church indignantly exclaims ‘What arrogance!’ This proves that it has abandoned the spirit of the Gospels, for the true teaching of Jesus was to become perfect. But no, a person can remain mediocre provided they go to Mass for a few drops of holy water, to mumble some prayers and receive the host. It does not matter if they return home as mean or as dishonest as before. Well sadly, the best proof of the inadequacies of this Christian ‘morality’ is the fact that humans fail to transform themselves.
